OmniPOD - Enterprise 5G

City

A smart city equipped with IoT can support innovative applications, such as a carsharing system, smart streetlights and AI community patrolling, to make this place more convenient and easier to monitor. QCT OmniPOD Enterprise 5G is ready to enable such applications with a stable and secured data transmission network.

AI Community Patrolling

AI Community Patrolling

Benefits of 5G x AI x MEC

Improve Operational Efficiency

Centralized architecture (5G x AI x MEC) to reduce end-device workloads and supports multiple AI applications.

Reduce Device Cost

Lightweight computing devices with AI models at edge sites can lower device costs and improve computational efficiency.

By connecting QCT OmniPOD Enterprise 5G to a driverless car equipped with multiple cameras, AI community patrolling can be enabled to save police manpower for routine patrols.

During its trip, this car can collect and transmit image data back to the central site via QCT OmniPOD Enterprise 5G, and conduct inferences such as person detection, face recognition, and vehicle number detection. Upon the detection of an emergent case, it will also issue an alert to call for police support.

What Enterprise 5G Solutions do QCT offer?
QCT’s Enterprise 5G Solution portfolio, OmniPOD, comprises 5G Core (OmniCore), 5G RAN (OmniRAN), and OAM (OmniView), which together form an “End-to-End TURNKEY” solution.
What 5G use cases and applications do QCT support?
QCT has deep expertise in 5G infrastructure and cloud data center. When it comes to use case and application planning, we work behind the scenes and let our partners take the lead.
Why should enterprises choose Enterprise 5G solutions over Wi-Fi and Public 5G networks?
With Enterprise 5G solutions, enterprises can customize a dedicated 5G network that delivers unparalleled reliability, cybersecurity, and data privacy control.
Can I deploy one 5G core network to support multiple 5G RAN sites?
Yes, OmniPOD supports cross-site deployment.
How do I make sure no interference would occur among multiple RRUs?
Prior to each deployment, QCT will turn to our System Integrator partner to perform a wireless site survey to ensure no interference will arise from RRU overlapping.
Do all UE types connect to OmniPOD?
Currently, only UE types that support n79 and n78 with the SA mode can take advantage of OmniPOD.
What types of cell do QCT provide?
QCT provides the “Pico Cell” with 250mW RF output power per channel.
Does OmniRAN support the handover function?
QCT has embedded a GPS module in OmniRAN to support the handover function with 1588v2 time-sync. In addition, QCT’s System Integrator partner will install GPS antenna on FHGW during on-site deployment to realize the handover function.
Does OmniCore deliver high availability (HA) and high reliability?
Yes, QCT adopts an HA mechanism in its OmniCore by offering active and standby nodes for computing and networking. When a fault occurs, the active node will switch over to the standby node and the PDU session would be failsafe.
How can I import SIM data into OmniCore?
You can import SIM data through Configuration Management, a function of OmniView.
