Job Summary:
- The HR Generalist is in charge of helping and assisting with all day-to-day HR operations and duties as well as handling all the personnel-related administrative tasks.
- He/she has to combine excellent organizational skills and experience in a fast-paced working environment and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- His/her main responsibilities and duties include recruitment and staffing, training and development, employees’ relations & satisfaction and labor laws and legal compliance.
- Ultimately, the HR Generalist will be in charge of maintaining the HR Department organized and efficient to be able to attract, hire and retain employees with talent.
Job Responsibilities:
Labor Laws and Legal Compliance
- Assist in the company’s handbook on policies and procedures.
- Process HR related iFlow applications and ensure proper approvals.
- Provide support and control in time & attendance system.
- Explain HR-related policies, procedures, laws and standards to current employees and new onboard ones.
- Update and create Job Descriptions and analyze job duties
- Assist Open Enrollment Process
Biweekly Payroll Process
- Responsible for administering payroll system
- Communicate with managers to resolve issues with payroll
- Ensure all timecards are approved by the deadline
- Reconcile payroll records with approved timecards
- Process wage garnishment and other deductions
- Analyze pay scale to ensure compliance with wage and labor laws
Recruitment and Staffing
- Responsible for the recruiting process and for the implementation of the strategy (interviewing applicants, pre-employment tests, referential check, etc.).
- Ensure the employee’s onboarding and termination process.
- Prepare or update employment records related to hirings, transfers, promotions and terminations.
Qualifications:
- PHR, SPHR or payroll specific certification, preferred
- University degree in Human Resources or similar.
- 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Applications
- Superior attention to detail
- Proven track record of maintaining employee confidentiality
- Experience with ADP payroll systems
- Able to work under pressure with strict deadlines
Base Salary Range: $80,000 to $99,000 annual
