Under the theme “Enabling Your 5G World with AI Magic,” QCT is showcasing Public and Private 5G infrastructures powered by Intel® at MWC 2024, the world’s largest and most influential connectivity event taking place at Fira Gran Via from February 26-29 in Barcelona, Spain. This year’s product highlights include QCT OmniPOD Enterprise 5G Solution, QCT Platform on Demand (QCT POD) converged HPC and AI system, vRAN Public Network, and 5GxAI integrated solutions for developers and enterprises. To help our customers achieve power efficiency, more sustainable designs such as next-gen motherboards and liquid cooling racks supporting Intel platforms are also being showcased.

To give you a better idea of what these infrastructures can help to realize, we are also demonstrating use cases in automotive design and manufacturing, generative AI, and a golf experience with AI coaching. Come and visit QCT at Booth #5E21 in Hall 5!

Solution Showcase
  • QCT OmniPOD Enterprise 5G Solution: QCT offers OmniPOD, an end-to-end private 5G network solution comprised of a 5G core with a high-availability design, a 5G RAN with flexible system configurations, and an OAM system with visualized network management. The network system is 3GPP standard-compliant and Intel x86 processor-based. It supports both single-site and multisite deployment depending on the user’s scenario. Overall, OmniPOD equips enterprise users with a reliable, flexible, and user-friendly solution catering to diverse private 5G needs.

  • QCT Platform on Demand (QCT POD): QCT Platform on Demand (QCT POD) provides best-fit building blocks for a converged HPC and AI system. It not only simplifies user’ deployment journey, but also streamlines system management and monitoring. Moreover, with a comprehensive development environment, it can support both HPC and AI workloads in either a bare metal or containerized environment, depending on users’ requirement, to accelerate their time-to-value.
Partner Co-Demo
  • Vodafone, Open RAN Technology Demo, Delivering Next Tier Computational Performance, Acceleration, Bandwidth, and Connectivity
QCT will be supporting an OpenRAN technology demo at the Vodafone stand (3E11). With the QuantaEdge EGX74I-1U short-depth server powered by Intel Xeon Scalable processors, the companies are improving network performance agility, meeting low latency and capacity needs at the edge to offer customizable services.

  • Mavenir, Showcasing QuantaEdge EGX77B-1U Powered by Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors with Intel vRAN Boost to Support Open RAN Deployments
Mavenir will be showcasing QCT QuantaEdge EGX77B-1U at their Booth 2H60. This system is a 300mm ultra-short depth, low power consumption, cost optimised, and highly expandable Multi-Access Edge Computing server. Powered by 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors with Intel® vRAN, it supports diverse centralized and distributed RAN deployments.

  • Dassault Systèmes, Pre-validated Industry-leading CAE Simulation on Converged HPC & AI Systems
QCT and Dassault Systèmes are joining efforts to streamline product design and development by running Dassault Systèmes’ SIMULIA simulation software on the QCT POD, a Converged HPC and AI Platform. The workload driven design, easy-to-use system management and monitoring of the QCT POD help to enhance data center compute performance, shortening simulation-driven industrial design processes.

  • Interactive Digital Technologies, MR Application for Golf Coaching with a Private 5G Network
Leveraging the QCT OmniPOD Enterprise 5G solution, Interactive Digital Technologies (IDT) revolutionizes golf training with an innovative mixed reality (MR) experience.

  • SUTD and Keysight, Handover Security and Energy Savings with an O-RAN Architecture
QCT, the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), and Keysight Technologies collaborated to test and verify handover security and an energy saving mechanism on QCT’s O-RAN-based OmniRAN. Test results show that OmniRAN met the 3GPP standard for 5G handover security, and that energy savings can be achieved by leveraging SUTD’s rApp and an O-RAN compatible RAN Radio Intelligent Controller (RIC) to dynamically turn on and off capacity OmniRAN cells depending on network usage volume.

  • Techman Robot Equipped with Advanced AI, for AOI and Assembling in Production Plants with Private 5G Networks
QCT and Techman Robot worked together to streamline quality inspection for production lines. By integrating QCT’s OmniPOD Enterprise 5G solution with Techman Robot’s AOI solution, the companies have enabled real-time, high-precision quality inspection and timely repairs with minimum human labor.
